Briana earned a BS in Biochemistry from Western Kentucky University. Her scientific interests include microbiology, molecular biology, infectious disease, and biotechnology. Outside of the lab, Briana enjoys gardening, books, cooking, and artsy projects. 

Briana’s research is supported by UL-BIOMED PREP, an NIH-funded training program that provides mentored research and professional development opportunities.
