Matt Elected to the American Academy of Microbiology

The American Academy of Microbiology is an honorific leadership group within the American Society for Microbiology (ASM). Each year the Academy elects exceptional microbiologists to fellowship through a highly selective, peer-review process based on their records of scientific achievement, national/international recognition, original contributions to microbiology, and teaching and mentoring. More than 2,600 microbiologists have been elected as Academy Fellows. In the 2025 cohort Matt joins 64 new Fellows from nine countries.
