Excited to welcome Taylor Garrison and Katelyn Sheneman as PhD candidates in the Lawrenz Lab!

Taylor joins the lab with an MS degree in biology from Union University and a BS in microbiology from the University of Tennessee. Her PhD dissertation project will focus on defining the impact of calprotectin-mediated metal limitation on Klebsiella pneumoniae virulence.

Katelyn comes to us from the University of Southern Indiana, where she earned a BS in biochemistry and pre-medicine. Her PhD dissertation project will focus on how Y. pestis manipulates the generation of extracellular vesicles during plague.
